Tim Evans
Since 2005, Tim Evans has been at the forefront of Gainesville-Hall County’s economic growth, leading the community’s public-private development efforts through the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. In 2024, he was named President and CEO of the Chamber, where he continues to champion business growth, job creation, and community investment. The Greater Hall Chamber’s Economic Development Council manages recruitment, expansion, and retention projects with business leaders across the U.S. and abroad. His leadership has guided the development of new commercial and industrial sites, including several major business park projects, and he works closely with community partners to strengthen retail and downtown growth.
Before returning home to Northeast Georgia, Tim spent 11 years with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, where he built expertise in site location, project management, international marketing, and business development. A Certified Economic Developer, he has been recognized for his professional excellence with the 2021 Rip Wiley Award, one of the state’s highest honors in economic development.

A native of Northeast Georgia, Tim holds degrees in Economics and Political Studies from Oglethorpe University and an MBA from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. He is also a graduate of Leadership Hall (2008) and Leadership Georgia (2016). Tim and his wife, Megan, live in Hall County with their three boys, where they enjoy the community they proudly call home.
